The Texas Longhorns and UCONN Huskies basketball programs have announced a home-and-home series on Tuesday, the first of which will take place this season. Rodney Terry’s team will host the two-time defending NCAA Champions at Moody Center on December 8, 2024. UCONN will host the Longhorns on December 12, 2025 in Storrs, Connecticut.
The Huskies hold an all-time 7-3 advantage over Texas, including a 81-71 victory over the Longhorns last season at the Saatva Empire Classic at Madison Square Garden on November 20th. The last victory for Texas over UCONN on the hardwood took place in 2014, when Jonathan Holmes’ three-pointer with 2.2 seconds left at Gambel Pavilion saw the No. 7 Longhorns defeat the No. 15 Huskies 55-54.
UCONN has won the last two NCAA Basketball Championships, defeating San Diego State 76-59 in 2023 and Purdue 76-60 in 2024.
