The Texas Longhorns received their second commitment in the 2022 Class on Tuesday afternoon, when Lewisville wide receiver Armani Winfield announced his commitment via twitter.

The 6-2, 180 lb. four star receiver’s commitment is the first for Texas under new head coach Steve Sarkisian, who wasted no time in strengthening his future offense.
Winfield, who holds offers from nearly 40 programs including Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Alabama, was thought to be leaning towards Ohio State.
It appears Winfield’s decision was made last night after seeing what Sarkisian’s offense was able to do against the Buckeyes in the national championship game.
Top247 2022 WR Armani Winfield talked to Steve Sarkisian a couple hours before yesterday's National Title game and after watching the offensive explosion during the first two quarters of the title game, committed to #Texas during halftime. More here: https://t.co/zTTGymQNsL
