The Texas Longhorns (6-3, 4-2) erased an early 14-point and went on to defeat the #20 Kansas State Wildcats (6-3, 3-3), courtesy of Cameron Dicker’s game-winning 26-yard field goal. Texas extended its win-streak over Kansas State to three games and became bowl-eligible for the third time in three seasons under head coach Tom Herman.

Texas started sloppy on defense, but Todd Orlando’s unit played solid football after surrendering the game’s initial 14 points. The Longhorns held Kansas State to 51 yards rushing, and Wildcat quarterback Skylar Thompson to zero rushing yards.

Keaontay Ingram had a breakout game for the Longhorns, rushing for a career-high 139 yards and two touchdowns.  Sam Ehlinger threw for 263 yards and one touchdown, with one interception.

The Longhorns will face the Iowa State Cyclones next Saturday on the road at Jack Trice Stadium in Ames.
