Longhorns win nine games for for time in regular season since 2009

The Texas Longhorns (9-3, 7-2) escaped Lawrence with a 24-17 win over the Kansas Jayhawks (3-9, 1-8) to notch their first nine win regular season since 2009.  Sam Ehlinger threw for 154 yards and two touchdowns, and rushed for a score in the win. Ehlinger also threw a pair of interceptions, breaking his streak of 308 consecutive passes without an interception (a school and Big 12 record).

The Longhorns earned a spot in the Big 12 Championship next Saturday and will face the winner of thee West Virginia vs. Oklahoma game.
