The Longhorns held off a late push by Tulsa and held on to defeat the Golden Hurricane 28-21 to earn their first win of the 2018 season. The Texas offense accounted for 478 total yards, including 241 yards on the ground in the victory.  Defensive backs Caden Sterns and BJ Foster each intercepted Tulsa quarterback Luke Skipper, giving each true freshmen their first career interceptions in a Texas uniform.
