Woke up today and excited for the Strong era

1st choice. 2nd choice. Whatever choice I don't care. That means nothing and people won't give a shit if he wins. Pete Carroll was Uscs 4th choice. The way many UT fans have talked for years they would have never hired a bob stoops. DKR would never ever have a chance to be hired now.

I was aboard the saban train but more than anything I wanted Texas to hire a real tough football coach who will develop players and demand accountability. Strong is someone that does that. He's also a good recruiter and will play well with a lot of kids IMO. Have already seen it in twitter

Time will tell how he does on the field but I'm excited to see what he does, what staff is hired and for the first game next season.

I'm excited for the energy that Strong will bring to the program. Maybe not the first pick but I'm confident he will do well. I'm hopeful he can assemble the top staff he's rumored to go after

Great post! The best thing for us to do is get behind the hire. Some egos may be bruised by what transpired in the hiring process. It doesn't matter. Winning is the elixir thst cures these ills. Winning starts with a change of mindset and attitudes. Strong will do that from the onset. I was tellin a friend that I was tired of the country club atmosphere. I said I wanted a coach that would be greyhound rather than a limo. Charlie Strong is all greyhound.
