well actually, yes, i am cajun by birth.  i was hereby born in lafayette, la.  however, the "north star" soon appeared above the beautiful dark cajun horizon...  and less than a month after my birth, my parents followed that "star" straight to texas!  and i have been thanking my lucky stars ever since...

Texans, and  Mississippians, and Tennesseans, and Missourians, and Kansans can all be Cajuns to my way of thinking - as well as some folks from Acadia.  I'm a Cajun, not necessarily by blood, but maybe so, and at least by association by in-laws and especially by association with some fine Catahoulas, who just so happen to be some of my best friends.

Great reference Aaron.  I remember this from when I was much younger.  There is a bit of swamp referencing going on here.  I think I am gonna have more to say about that later ...
