Thoughts on how we did at tackling? Especially compared to 2012.
Still missed 7 tackles for 32 yards against New Mexico State, close to last years 8.6 average. That said, it didn't feel like there were that many missed once the team woke up and started crushing skulls. I'm going to reserve judgement on the issue until I see them this week against a much more capable offense.
Same but thoughts on how we swarmed to the ball.
That was noticeable, and I liked seeing it all game long. Helps to have other guys there when and if someone whiffs, something that didn't happen last year.
Why weren't we able to run the ball early?
Cranial/Rectal inversion plain and simple. There was absolutely no exucuse for it, and no other explanation other than they came out soft.

Overstreet needs to play A LOT MORE. How can this happen?
Put him out wide as well as in the backfield. In four WR sets Overstreet and Daje should be on the field every time. Dont just use Overstreet as a 3rd down back.

What's the status of the kicking game this year? Are we going to be sweating bullets on field goals or does Fera have his act together this year?
Jury is out on Fera, but I don't like he was out so long last year. Glad to know other people who can do the jobs are there. Feel like he will cost us in a game this year. Don't know why.

I have to admit I have been disappointed in Jonothan Gray. He basically disappeared from the game against the Aggies. My question: Have you heard any explanation of why he left the game and do you see this as a trend?
I think it was nothing more than a ton of mouths to feed and no reason to risk him once the switch went off. Didn't need him out there against New Mexico State, and honestly, if you had to choose one of the “big three†to be healthy all year, its Gray.

Do you go to our home games?
Never have. Wouldn't want to have that experience without the family and not made of money. Do take my daughter to the Spring Games. She loves them.
Why have you not come to a tailgate?
Don't know honestly.
What do we need to do to get Gray going?
More playing time, which will come.
BYU prediction?
Im a big fan of the Cougars defense. That said, give me Texas 28, BYU 23. (We will block a kick, UVA did it last week)
How long before Harrison is starting?
Ole Miss. Need your best ass kicker out there.
