Chance Mock just tweeted his last show was today. Had to be in Fort Worth today and could not listen to the show? Does Sean Adams still have his show?

Ok, here is what I know, from a reliable source, as of 5:20pm today

Chance Mock, Chip Brown, and Geoff Ketchum were all terminated today. None of them were given a reason why.

I had heard ESPNAustin had been sold, and saw a twitter account @Save1049TheHorn. All Ive ever dug up is the spanish language 1530 was sold, not the FM or 1260AM station.

As of today, Erin Hogan, JD Lewis, Beau Edge, Sean Adams, and Chad Hastings are still employed.

Now here is my theory as to what may have occured.

Its been obvious since the beginning that Geoff Ketchum and crew have used The Horn, an ESPN affiliated station, to conduct, advertise, and expand business for Ketchum's Rivals affiliated Orangebloods.com

Sean Adams went to ESPN as an employee from OB a couple months ago, leaving Ketchum and Brown as the only OB members on the station, so if the "mothership" is going toward ESPN only programming, which makes total sense, it would serve them right to terminate the commanders of a rival site who has been getting thousands in free advertising for years.

That said, Im not sure how Chance Mock fit into that, unless he got nailed for talking about his real estate business on air.

If thats true, that was a shit move by ESPN and Hogan. Im not sure how Mock's real estate business competes with ESPN directly like OB does. Mock was a pretty popular host who knew his stuff top to bottom, and he will remain a friend of this writer and webpage.

Does anyone know who the new ownership is? I was over on the OB site trying to gather info. on it and someone posted that when it comes out it will be ironic.

Im not sure I dont pay for OB's hot garbage. If you have further information Id like to hear it.

Nothing of note yet, most of the topics there or responses are from mindless d-bags.

Just heard the news guys. Wow is all I can say.

I doubt it had anything to do with the Real Estate Business. The truth is the Adams Theory show was actually a good show with the Sean/Chance personalities. The other folks were OB homers and my guess is THAT had something to do with it. Everything about the Horn was Orangebloods - from the hosts to the site ads. The station was "ESPN Austin" so maybe with the arrival of HornsNation it made no sense to have the OB connection.

Or, someone potentially was just sick of their shit.

I can go with that.

Just looked on The Horn website, man if you are going to can people, at least take them off the marquee on the front page and broadcast schedule.

Ok, I had to read the damn story 5 times, so who is America Telecommunications Group?

UT no likey OB it seems.....
Can you blame them? I'm sure Orangebloods is always up in Mack's grill with the Yahoo connection. Even if UT/Coach Brown wanted to get rid of them he couldn't. This gets them off the public airwaves at least.

Hilarious is my tweet about chance, chip and ketch getting fired was posted on OB and the mods removed it. OB hates us because we provide better stuff for free than they do for $99.
