Aston is no stranger to basketball in the state of Texas nor to The University of Texas, where she spent 9 years as an assistant coach under Longhorn legend and former head coach Jody Conradt.
After her time at UT Aston worked for Kim Mulkey at Baylor as associate head coach for a season before taking the head coaching job at Charlotte in 2007. Aston experienced success in Charlotte and notched an 86-47 record in her four seasons as head coach of the 49ers. In 2011 Aston accepted the head coaching job at the University of North Texas where she went 15-16 in her first season.
