UCLA matchup breakdowns (by: Lukus Alderman)

our QB/WRs/TE have an advantage over UCLA DBs? admittedly, i haven't seen ucla play, but with an untested swoopes (who was ok, but nothing great imo) and presumably without Shipley this week. i'm stunned we'd say that area is an advantage over anybody.

As I mentioned in the article, the UCLA Defense, mostly against the pass, has been very poor against Virginia (2-10 last season) and Memphis. Swoopes was hardly the problem last week against a very good BYU defense. Swoopes was actually very accurate and made the right reads most of the game. I don't think it's a stretch to say that the advantage is warranted here.

Good analysis. I am actually cautiously, and I do mean EXTREMELY cautiously optimistic for Saturday.

We'll see.
