Off the top of my head I can only think of two people that believe they are ALWAYS the smartest person in the room.
They make ridiculous statements with  such conviction in hopes that people will “buy it”.

They can never admit they might have been mistaken even when every shred of evidence proves they are wrong.

They talk and talk and talk to simply hear themselves.

They alienate everyone who has the misfortune to cross their path and can single handily ruin any environment with their presence. 
 

One of those people is Tom Herman and this other one makes him seem like a great guy.

He had a decent run here,  but couldn’t win conference with a senior qb who is now in the NFL. He also left our Oline in shambles.

I guess it depends on what your expectations are. At Texas, a coach gets 3 to 4 years max, if they don’t get a championship, it’s time to move on.

Herman will field a competitive team. I doubt he will win a conference championship
