Per Chip Brown Sources tell Orangebloods.com Mack Brown has informed prominent UT boosters Joe Jamail and Red McCombs that if Texas wins or shares the Big 12 regular-season title that Brown would want to return as coach of the Longhorns in 2014.

Sources close to the situation have informed Chip Brown that Pancho Negro would shank every person in Bellmont if this were to happen. Per Chip, the situation is fluid.

If they end up winning the big12 he should go gracefully! He turned it around after a disastrous start! It will probably get ugly & turn into a bobby bowden type situation!

I think they are both old enough to not be worried about this anymore. I'm not surprised Mack told them this but I would be surprised if these two flexed their muscles in Mack's favor.

They are old. Family should consume 99% of their time right now. With so much opposition to Mack, I'm not sure they have the strength/will to continue fighting for someone else when they could exert that energy elsewhere. I could be wrong but I say all of this based on hearing that they are both in poor-health.

The good news is that Baylor will win out.

From what I've heard (not on other boards), Red is off the Mack bandwagon, and Jamail is the only cheerleader left for Mack. Guess we'll have to hurry up and wait.

Mack will then lead us into the Pac 12 and anoint Chip as the new Bill Little.

As long as it means that he will happily step aside if we don't win Or tie for Big 12 title. We can win the next 2 games but last 3 will not be easy.

If we do somehow tie for Big 12 title, it WILL get ugly.

I'm counting on you Pancho!

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

No way we beat Baylor in Waco. That'll do it right there.

And if we go 9-3, Mack will go willingly or otherwise. (I think we drop two more and likely three. WVU is trap waiting too happen.) Train's too far down the track with Saban among others. Mack has to win out and make an incredible showing in Fiesta to even get considered, then I still think he uses that as platform to hang it up. He won't want to be here w/Luck.

If Saban or a Carroll are in place to come, Mack's gone regardless.

Powers will go w/BMD agreement to receive cover in return for roto-rootering the AD.

When Mack loses two of the last three to Tech, Okie State and Baylor this will be a moot point. It's not a guarantee that we win at WVU either. Not worried about it.

Lets look at this from a realistic point of view. We are playing great, but we still have Case McCoy as our starting QB and we still have to play OKState, Tech and Baylor. We're playing better, but we still have a huge task ahead of us if we want to win out. It's very hard to see that happening.
