Georgia is getting killed by South Carolina, which means the SEC will have 1 team in the Kenpom (best RPI predictor) top 30.

1 team in a 14 team league. To put that in perspective, the Big 12 has 7 teams in the top 30 in the Kenpom. The Big 12 is only a 10 team league too. 

I now know why there are jokes about SEC basketball fever.

The SEC is strange & difficult to figure out. How the recruit and do so well in football should translate a bit to basketball. Take FSU for example, they're not a consistent Top 25 team, but once every 3-4 years, they field a solid team. 

How Alabama, Auburn, LSU & UGA aren't better is one of the mysteries in college sports, IMO.

Top basketball players know that, for the most part, those schools don't care about hoops. Yeah, you'd think SEC teams would do better overall. Of course, each has had flashes and at least one marquee player.
