camp starts today with moorer and IT mentioned the players have been told some of them will likely quit

Good. Weed out the weak. I'm fine with losing some guys, even five stars, if it means these guys will be more disciplined and team oriented.

Whenever there is a new S&C guy, there always will be things like that happening. and probably rave reviews like Bennie.

True though Moorer is known for some pretty intense workouts. Will be interesting. You also do not have Maddog around anymore (or Mack) to meddle with the S&C program. I think Bennie was handcuffed to some degree from reports in the past

We all heard about Bennie's camp and how hard it was the first year. I don't think this will be any different. For all we know Moorer will be surprised how fit our guys are. Either way I don't think anything earth shattering will come out of this. Just maybe a cool LHN video.

So many positives here. Very exciting. Pretty damning indictment of the culture that had developed, I'd say.

Know how they feel. I feel the pain every Monday and every Wednesday when I go to physical therapy. (I had shoulder surgery 2 months ago - 2 tears in the labrum and a torn rotator cuff)

The funny thing about pain is that it only hurts while you are doing an exercise. Sometimes it can be excruciating. BUT when you finish, you always feel better physically.

When you see tangible progress, you feel more confident and emotionally better as well.

All new coaching staffs do this. ESPECIALLY new strength coaches... New coaches have to create a perception that they are and will be the best thing to ever happen to the school and it's players. NO strength coach ever has eased into an offseason program... ALL OF THEM hit hard and fast, it will without a doubt be gruling but that's just what new coaches do.

Every time I think of how Strong runs his program I think of Ken Carter. A no nonsense hard nose worker. Refreshing change from the old regime!

Strong came in and saw a few things that he could change quickly and make an impression with to the fans, admin and players. The hard work and discipline aspects are his trademark and there are plenty of places to affect these kinds of changes. Good managers do this as a matter of course when taking over a organization.
