The National: England

I tell ya what, if I am ever lucky enough to run into you...I wanna have a few beers and relax to your selection of music. Damn I could play a game of darts listening to that and I would hit a 1 eighty...

Went to see them in Dallas. Watched Tame Impala and left early.

Damn man, I like you even more now than I did before (check your twitter DM too).

I'll post my fave music vids here.... The National tops the charts for sure.... They are all I listen to incessantly.

Don't tell me you guys saw this band either..... Coming to Austin on 03/01/2014, Houston 02/27/2014 and Dallas on 02/28/2014.

Damn good.

The Pixies? I love The Pixies but I shredded all music before 2008 and spent many of hours researching the new thing. I still love my BritPop from the mid 90s and miss going to see these gigs in Italy and England, but I moved on. Lots of new things I like. I spend many hours on this. Listen to Pond "Beard, Wives, Denim" on YouTube when the kids are in bed and you are working.

You must be a Blur fan. Maybe Catherine Wheel??

The National is hands down my favorite band these days. Have every album of theirs except Trouble Will Find Me on Vinyl.

You're close to getting V.I.P. status with that post...

Blur for sure. Went to Oasis at Wembley in 2000. Pulp, Gene, Menswear, Dodgy, Cast, Supergrass, The Stone Roses... some electro stuff too. Sort of accidentally stumbled on that when going to the Velvet Banana Rock Club for two years pretty much every weekend in Italy. Was in the Alps. Saw Terrorvision there in 1996. Used to frequent the Corn Exchange in Cambridge when I lived there. We clubbed in Watford mostly. Festivals in Germany, England, and Paris. Saw Mansun in a warm-up gig in Bury St. Edmunds. My oldest was born there. Good times. Simpler times. Back when the military was still chilled. Way too deep for message board material.

Stone Roses!! Fool's Gold. Loved the talent of Oasis but never supported them because they were so pompous. When you publicly proclaim you are better than The Beatles..... you're not.

I can assume you liked The Smith's/ Morrisey?

Leaving this post with another fave....

Love me some National but not too familiar with Tame Impala. I once upon a time did jam some Wedding Present though. Seamonsters is still an incredible album.

WHAT? The best album (remember when we said that?) I have purchased in 20 years. Tame Impala is one man named Kevin Parker from Perth, Australia.

Records everything himself and gets his mates to play with him. Been touring this record forever.

Not bad stuff. So this guy is a bit of a Karl Wallinger (World Party)?
