The Daily Texan - UT's Student Newspaper

It transcends a century and it is in jeopardy of becoming extinct. The Daily Texan, UT's student run newspaper is in some trouble. It is absurd to think that the DT may cease to exist for student on the 40 acres (and for those of us that read it electronically). The word is the advertising revenues are nowhere near where they need to be in order to justify the publication's continuation. My solution: cut off internet all over campus and make folks grab a copy out of the newspaper pull. Seriously, it looks like the DT has enough financial reserve to last for another year or two but things get more uncertain after that ----> the unfortunate result of technological advances....
