I will be honest with you guys I do not like Mack Brown. Never did, even when he was with LSU back in the early 80's. A little bit of coaching talent but nothing great. Texas MUST show that they have progressed thus far by beating Texas Tech tomorrow. If Texas gets hammered by the Red Raider offense then Mack Brown's job will seriously be in jeopardy. While the OU game was the hingepin on measuring the ability of this team, the Tech game is a spotlight game that will either affirm or deny Mack Brown as the leader of this program. I think Texas musters up enough with the defense to win this game but I think they barely win.

As much as I hate LSU (lol) I agree with you. We are in a unique place with the football program and the fans are not going to tolerate another unsuccessful season. Mack is a nice guy and he has done a lot for the program but that does not buy you an infinite number of years as head coach. I don't think he gets fired if we lose to Tech by any means, but I think the microscope gets focused a little more after the season. With the home field crowd I think we will notch a victory tomorrow. Hook'em!

It's gonna be a nice test for the Defense. Hopefully the Red Raiders of last week (41-7 loss to Iowa State) will show up instead of the one that's averaged 46 points per game in its 5 wins this season. Should be a great game to watch..

Ash has an opportunity to put up a few td's against an historically bad defense. You arer right though - if the crappy team that showed up last week IN LUBBOCK trails in to Austin tomorrow, we will thrash them. We cannot match their offensive firepower so the defense is going to need to force turnovers for us. If we can break that qb's legs like we usually do most Tech qb's then all will be good. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

Bad Karma to come to a Longhorn board and rag their head coach..I predict it will cost you the game tonight. BTW..Les Miles is a pussy..
