The Horns are throwing lefty Dillon Peters tonight against the Lumberjacks. Peters needs a good outing to lower that 6+ ERA. SFA is 7-12 and Texas has never lost to them.

GREAT game by Dillon. Very happy for him. Three innings, no hits, 4K's, 1BB. I believe he lowered his era by about 2 runs in just those three innings.

Hunter Redman caught the ninth and looked good. I'd love to see him get some more work in relief of Felts. Maitland is a magnet for pitches, Alex Silver's bat is just ridiculous when he turns it on, and John Curtiss needs to be pissed off to pitch lights out. Blue screwed him on a few pitches and squeezed him during the at-bat where the home run was hit. He was none too pleased after that and came back strong. I say we just cage him up and poke him with a stick before releasing him to the mound. Oh, and Jordan f-ing Etier. Stole two bases, came close on the third attempt. I have to check my score book at lunch, but he also had multiple hits and RBIs on the night.

Texas is surging forward! I'm really pulling for Curtiss - he has struggled a bit this year but I saw him play at Southlake a few times and the kid has some serious potential. Je just needs to BRING IT!!!! The record doesn't matter much right now but the guys are 3-0 in conference and a sweep of the SuckCats in Manhattan this weekend would be awesome -------> and it could happen.
