Item of note: Mike Davis will wear #5 tonight in honor of senior RB Jeremy Hills who is injured for the rest of the season. Also David Ash is available to play.....

I f##king hate Kansas State. Turn the profanity filter on in your profile if you don't like it!

Case MCcoy connects with Jaxon Shipley for a TD and Texas leads K-State 10-7 in the 2nd quarter.

I like cussing and am f##king good at it..but..my profanity filter is scrambling everything..anyone know how to disable it?

Go to your settings page. You also have to have your birthdate put in (or make up a birtdate) that says you are over 18 for it to work.

BTW the Horns are playing some good f##king football in the 1st half.

Imagine what McCoy could have developed into had he played more than 5 mins total this whole season in favor of Ash, the worst QB I have ever seen on an elite program. McCoy had two terrible picks, absolutely terrible. He could have gotten those crappy decisions out of his system in the first 3 game, instead lets bench him the whole season and make his first start and full game be against the number 6 team in the country. Seems logical. I screamed for McCoy before the season started.

I don't know that McCoy would have done any better during the regular season. McCoy has more heart than talent.

Youre 100%. But it's something we'll never know at this point. Ash was allowed to be horrible last year and then rolled into this year and was rescued by our receivers amazing ability to adjust to his terrible passes. I will take heart any day of the year if Ash is the alternative. We have really good receivers which are going to waste. Not long before our QB crappyness turns all semi decent WRs. Domino effect.

I will tell you that I don't think the coaches had faith in either guy, they chose the more "playable" of the two guys. I have been outspoken for Jalen Overstreet to receive playing time from the moment he committed to Texas. He has a great arm and can run like a champ. Again, the UT staff potentially wanted him to play defense but that seems to have changed since he is the scout team qb. Brewer looks like he has the potential but he is too damn smal right now and needs to hit the weight room. Overstreet is a grown ass man and continues to sit. You heard it here first but I think JO ends up as the starting qb for this team in the nest year or two. Yes, even before Tyrone Swoopes.

Im game for this. I like what I've seen about Brewer but he does need some size. The only QB I am 100% out on and hope to never see under center again is Ash.

Which leads me to my issue of this program being naive about it's current status at the qb position. Ash and McCoy are mediocre.... Garrett Gilbert was a bust.... These recruiting decisions could set us back many, many years.

And meanwhile in the tiny town of Manhattan, Kansas Benjamin Button continues to build a program that was once a joke.... into a giant.
