Texas to play Cincinnati in NCAA Tournament on Friday

All the questions have been answered now as the Horns will take on Cincy in the East Region of the NCAA Tournament. Texas secured a #11 seed and Cincy is a 6 seed Stay tuned for more information.

Cincy is definitely a team the Horns can beat. And the fact that I HATE the Bearkittens with passion will make this victory all the sweeter. HOOK EM!

I don't like Cincy either but Gates is really physical inside and they played hard at Cincy. Something about that horrible town just makes those kids angry.

Texas can beat the Cats. The Big XII schedule has prepped them well for teams like that. I was hoping we would be seeded at 10 or even 12. 11 is a tight spot to advance and go deep. At least we made it.

If the guys play smart they can win this one. Cincinnati is a team that seemed to get better as the season went on. They lost to Presbyterian and Marshall early on and then lost to decent teams as the schedule progressed. They are 24-10.

Cincy only beat Syracuse because the Orange barely shot 40% from the floor. Syracuse wins games by shooting well and Cincy benefited from an off night.

Colonel, you are correct. One bad game by a team and an above average one by another can be enough to send even the best teams packing. I read Rick Barnes had a hunch the Horns would be taking on Cincinnati. It's fate.

The loss of Wagmene is HUGE for Texas in this game. Myck has got to come up with a solid game defensively and not turn the ball over running the offense. J'Covan has got to put this team on his back and go. I pick Texas in this one, but it wouldn't surprise me if they go out 1 and done.

After watching last nights games, I don't know that anyone has any idea what is really going to happen in this tournament. All I know is that I'm happy about last night games and if the rest of the tournament is like that then it will be the best ever.

Texas wins this game by a close margin. If Kabongo holds on to the ball and doesn't go hog wild on the shots then we will be in good shape. He went a stretch of like 2 games where he made only one shot and put up a ton of bricks.
