**Texas @ Texas St Tuesday Game Thread**

Damn.  HBU walks in the winning run.

A standard nonconference schedule for aggy. 

3 game series with Hofstra (finished 208 in RPI last year)

3 game series with Pepperdine (119 in RPI last year)

3 game series with Yale (264 in RPI last year)

2 game series with Northwestern State (94 in RPI last year)

3 game series with Fresno State (64 in RPI last year) 

Their midweek games aren't spectacular either outside of Texas and Houston. 

At least schedule one nonconference series with a top 50 RPI type opponent. Hell, we have 3 series with top 50 RPI teams from last year (Tulane, Cal and UCLA). That doesn't even include Stanford who is normally a top 50 RPI type team.

I just got home. HBU is pretty salty. They through their Friday night guy who went 8 with 1 unearned run. Their catcher has great get and a strong arm and the shortstop can pick it. They will be in the race for May

Very impressed with this kid. A lot of FR would have folded in the situation tonight after making that critical error. 

He has a bulldog presence on the mound.

Shugart shows similar mound presence and attitude of Knebel and J Brent Cox. Not putting him in the same class as those two, but his approach of the save is fearless like those two had.

Nothing with you.. but this is laughable... These guys jump on the bandwagon and off..
