Reggie Hemphill, wide receiver from Manvel High School (Class of 2016) has committed to the Longhorns tonight. Hemphill is 6-1, 170 lbs and attended a Texas camp in June. Coaches really liked what they saw at camp and pulled the trigger with an offer. Hemphill had interest in Texas A&M and Big 12 rival Oklahoma and Texas A&M. NSD in 2016 is still a ways away so don't get too excited, but Hemphill has all the tools and promise to be an excellent wide receiver/ athlete at the collegiate level.

Hemphill stats in 2012 - 2013 as a Freshman:

Receiving: 10 catches for 400 yards & 6 touchdowns.

Rushing: 11 carries for 101 yards

If he continues to improve he has the potential to be a 5* his senior year.

Everything I am hearing about this kid is raw talent - plain and simple. The coaches immediately noticed it at the June Camp and offered immediately. His buddy and Manvel teammate Deontay Anderson could end up at Texas also. I really like that the staff pulled the trigger on this kid.
