1. OSU a more complete team than OU. QB is a push while other skill positions are clearly in OSU's favor.

2. OU, because they're not as good as OSU.

3. WVU – They're not kidding this time.

4. Texas or TCU – Hard to push Patterson much further down this list. Texas looks poised to change their ways, but its still just on paper right now.

5. Texas or TCU

6. K State – Yeah, he's a genius and helluva coach. They'll still finish sixth.

7. Iowa State – Good things are happening in Ames.

8. Baylor – the damage is still apparent

9. Kansas – Not the KU they used to be.

9. Tech – Kingsbury fired with three weeks left in the season.

I'll take 4th in a preseason poll. Considering what UT's record has been the last three years, it might be generous. Having said that, I like a lot of you, have drunk heavily from the Kool-Ade. Seven wins and fifth in the conference is the floor for this team. I'm thinking a third place finish behind 0U and OSU.

Kansas State is always in contention as long as Bill Snyder is there.... and with Bob Stoops gone, even more so this year in my opinion.  There due for a double digit season.

Pokes take the conference, losing one to Texas as they bounce back from a loss in Dallas... 

K State has a senior QB and continuity, both are huge on the plus side when your team is well coached.  (They will be salty)

Texas finishes 3rd or 4th in conference losing 1 OOC to USC on the road, In Dallas to OU, on the road to TCU and on the road to WV late in the year.  (8-4 would be fantastic, anything more in year one is butter on the bread)... 

WV will be tough but their best defensive player is out for a month.  They could have 2 losses in their first 5 games with a backloaded schedule.  Real or not, thats a tough row to hoe.
