Texas 116 - UTSA 50

Texas wins big. Yea it was just UTSA but wow, Texas played hard tonight and everyone, even the walk-ons, scored.

Ridley played big and was on tonight, the 3 freshmen played well also. In fact Tevin Mack got player of the game.

For the walk-ons, Newsome was 3-4 from 3pt land, McClurg was 2-2 for 4pts along with a big rebound and Swartz was 1-3 from the FT (got fouled shooting a 3) but I think he tried to miss the last one so he could get a bucket.

The only negative was shooting 59% from the line. Have to do better this Saturday with the Tar Heels coming to town.

I saw part of the game. The big difference between this year and last year was that they appeared to be having a lot of fun. I'm not sure Barnes would have approved of some of the antics on the floor and on the bench. As far as I'm concerned is called a basketball GAME. Let the kids play and have fun.

Watched the game last night when I got home from dinner. One of the most impressive things was how hard they played until the very end. That says a lot about Shaka and the foundation he's laying down. Along those lines, Shaka was also engaged until the final buzzer.

Going to the UNC game. Saturday can't get here soon enough.
