Daly was a solid player and would have definitely been a contender to start again next year. Also, not a stretch that we can fill that spot with someone more productive.

What were your thoughts when you saw him? Did he have any control issues? Anything off-speed?

I didn't get to see him pitch.  He DH'ed and threw a bullpen.  His first at bat was a line drive double to the right field fence.

The Cowboys moved from the Cotton Bowl to Irving a full two decades before Jerry took over.

Was Daly hitting in the .220's not sure on his  BA. Of the world series teams SS are hitting 50 to 100 points higher.

230 BA this year. Weird that his best year at the plate was his freshman season, hit 320. He had similar walk and strike out numbers in subsequent seasons but did not get nearly the same amount of hits.

Its been the last 15 years or so that things have been bad. He just can't seem to get out of the way. He's no GM.
