Strong met with Goodell this morning

Sumbitch. Chip brown had it right after all.
As much as I hate on Chip I have to give the man credit. He owned the story from the beginning and didn't waver. He must really be laughing on the inside because Aggys have been trolling him like crazy on Twitter the past few days. It must have felt good to retweet some of those tweets.

Wait a minute....I heard Strong had DENIED that he was going to meet with Goodell ?? What happened to that core value of HONESTY !!!???? How can you ask players to follow your core values if you don't adhere to them as well ?? SMH Just sayin'.

Here is how I think this played out.

Chip finds out (which many knew of) about Goodell coming to meet with the Domestic Abuse Hotline people (based in Austin).

Chip puts 1+1 together that Goodelll would also find a way to meet with a coach of one of the largest universities in the country that produces a lot of NFL talent as well as now having a coach with some very strong beliefs (beliefs that are simple common sense beliefs that we should all have).

I know Skip broke the story but my thinking is he simply did some simple math, not necessarily broke anything of substance. I have been known to be wrong before but don't remember when that actually happened. :)

Roger Goodell meets with Texas coach Charlie Strong to discuss 'core values'

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell and executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent met Sunday with Texas football coach Charlie Strong – the latest in a series of conversations as the league considers changes to its personal conduct policy.

Sunday's talk with strong focused on "core values, game integrity, & college relations," Vincent tweeted, adding that Goodell and he are "focused on strengthening relationships with colleges."

Goodell and Vincent were in Austin, Texas, for a Saturday visit to the headquarters of the National Domestic Violence Hotline.

GBT, he never said that he wasn't meeting with Goodell. He said no meeting was scheduled. There IS a difference.
