Alderman – After a performance as poor as Texas had last week, it's difficult to give the Longhorns the benefit of the doubt in regards to how they will fare against a top 10 team. That said, I think Texas will respond favorably to an overrated UCLA team. The defense will play well and hold Hundley to a season low in passing while giving up some yards on the ground. The offense however, will still be the Achilles heel of the Longhorns: they will be the main cause of another loss, again losing the field position and time of possession battles. UCLA 24 – Texas 10
Carrara – If the Texas defense can pressure Hundley all night, the Longhorns have a shot at keeping the game close. When it is all said and done, the Bruins pull this one out. UCLA 35 – Texas 24
Cotcher – The Horns heard all week that they won’t win this game. That they’re not tough. That Coach Strong was disappointed in them. This team has more pride then they showed against BYU. I predict they win the turnovers and that’s enough to help a smothering defensive performance. Texas 17 – UCLA 14
Feeley – Difficult to predict this game with the roller-coaster performances from Texas. Like we saw against BYU, Texas may not handle rushing QB's well....UCLA's is on the Heisman watch. Also Texas will HAVE to take the ball away this game and even more so will have to PROTECT THE BALL this game. Without some X factor plays...this hurts me... UCLA 35 – Texas 24
Flanagan – After the blowout at home against BYU, everyone is pessimistic about the Longhorns season. Football is a week to week game – a team you see play one week is going to be different the next week. Last year, the Longhorns lost to BYU but beat Oklahoma. It doesn't matter what happened last week. Still, I think Texas loses this game, but I think they cover. UCLA 21 – Texas 17
Hinton – Despite running a more open offense and another solid game by Tyrone Swoopes, as well as an improved running and passing game, it won't quite be enough for the Longhorns to outscore the Bruins in Arlington this weekend. Yes, the Bruins have given up 20 and 35 points this season, but the Longhorns have not yet shown that they can score consistently and efficiently. While UCLA hasn't looked like a top 15 team in the country yet this year, they certainly have the talent to put points on the board. The Texas defensive front should have another solid game, but the secondary hasn't yet impressed enough to believe that they will shut down QB Brett Hundley through the air. UCLA 28 – Texas 17
Hopkins –Though many think the Longhorns are down for the count, Strong still needs time to acclimate to his new team and that takes longer than two games. UCLA has been hyped up recently, but lackluster performances in their first two games show a small margin for error. The game will be close, but ultimately, UT and Coach Strong still have some building to accomplish before we're ready to compete with a top 25 team. UCLA 28 – Texas 21
Roach – While the optimist in me can see the makings of a trap game for UCLA, it’s difficult to place any real faith in this Longhorn team as it is now. I think the offense will play a little better, while the defense keeps it close for the majority of the game. UCLA 27 – Texas 13
