sounds like lotushorn who is in the know is calling it to joker as oc and wr coach..guess wel know soon but i believe hes right..

I would be pretty happy with that hire. Let's hope it pans out.

Would certainly not be the highly-touted "HR hire." Although obviously a good hire if he's just WR coach.

You got to be fu*king kidding me.... in my best drill instructor voice!

Are we sure this time? Lol

Joker's offense in 2007 for Kentucky was no joke. That season they averaged 77.9 plays per game, 443.4 yards, and 36.5 points per game. Texas should be able to duplicate that easily.

Andre Woodson: 3,709 yards, 40-11 TD-INT ratio. Does Texas have a guy that can deliver like that, maybe we move a little more production in the RZ to the RB's

Rafael Little: 190-1,103 3 TD's, 42-347 1 TD's = Johnathan Gray

Derrick Locke: 94-521 5 TD's = Malcolm Brown

Tony Dixon: 72-411 4 TD's = Joe Bergeron

Dicky Lyons: 56-655 7 TD's = Jaxon Shipley

Kennan Burton: 66-741 9 TD's = Marcus Johnson

Steve Johnson: 60-1,041 13 TD's = Kendall Sanders

Jacob Tamme: 56-619 6 TD's = maybe the JUCO TE.

That's not much better than Watson last year at UL...actually not as good

6 man football is the same as 5A

Lotushorn: I know that Watson is Strong's security blanket (a statement used to describe Watson by many around Strong) but he invited him to Austin, ignored him for two days, all with a promise he will make it all make sense to Watson.

Reading between the lines, Strong wants his security blanket, but understands he needs a splash OC hire. The longer this takes, the more inclined I am to believe that Strong is letting Watson's agent try and get him another job, but with the hope it won't happen so he can convince Watson that QB coach at Texas isn't a bad gig.

=====

Lotushorn:

"So I don't get a bunch of Private Messages...

Higdon is the UF scout guy, and the OC for Texas is Joker Phillips.

IF Watson stays, currently Watson hasn't accepted the QB coaching position."

with reply:

"well that was easy to get it outta ya ;-)

Alright two things as follow-ups:

1) In that scenario if Watson accepted, would it be Phillips and Watson Co-OC with Phillips WR and Watson QB?

and

2) If Watson does not accept a demotion, would Phillips still

take the WR spot without having play-calling responsibilities? Leaving

us with Joker Phillips at WR, Watson out, and back to square one looking

for an OC?"

Lotus reply:

'and thus the delay we are witnessing'

Season Averages

Louisville 12 47 52 17 421 35.1 as follows: games, TDs, Pats, FGs, PPG

Louisville 12 818 5437 6.6 453.1 as follows: games, plays, yds, yds per play, avg per game

Look familiar?
