I want to get a poll from everyone here, even if you are a lurker and dont post, just answer.

Question: Based on everything YOU personally know, or personally believe, do you think Mack Brown had the best interests of the University of Texas at heart once he knew his time was going to come to, or in serious danger of ending.

If what Bonney was saying in this interview is true, telling the commits to look around at the banquet...Then he is a petty asz clown and his actions reek of sour grapes.

Would it surprise me? No, but I honestly don't think he would do anything to purposely hurt Texas...Plus he is to worried about his legacy and that would definitely destroy it.

No, he had self-preservation and adding to his "legacy" in mind. I don't think he intentionally hurt Texas by holding on for an additional week. Mack just played every political card in his hand.

If y'all wanna point fingers, point 'em at Powers. He could've nipped this in the bud immediately after the Baylor loss. I'm sure Patterson wanted the boss's approval before letting Mack go.

News so old its being talked about today. Save the 4th grade personal attacks.
My apologies, last thing it was intended was to be a personal attack. But an attack on the obsession on what is behind us. I think continued conversation on whether or not Mack was on the Grassy Knoll is counter productive.

Merely a succinct expression of frustration.

No one is perfect. I still like mack Brown and always will. But do I think he had the schools best intrest when he saw the writing on the wall, no. I dont know how I would of handled that situation tho.

I believe Mack is "shady" in some ways, but I also think that he believed that Mack Brown was what was best for Texas...and I believe he was willing to do anything to make others share that feeling. He failed at that particular task.

The point is that this is not behind us if what Mack told the COMMITS is true. This would definitely affect this class and possibly the next couple of seasons, not a tremendous amount, but still. Also, Mack is still on the payroll. He just had a calendar day named after him and the Cookie Monster (Sally). His legacy hangs on a thread bc of his narcissism. This is definitely not behind us.

No. Would you if you were in his shoes?

It's a hot button because the haters can't let go.

That's what's so destructive about hatred. Once you start down that road, it's hard to come back.

For everyone's emotional health and well-being, let's focus on the future.

Hook 'em.

If he were going to do what was best for the longevity of the program, he would have left sooner and not just try to bail water out of a sinking ship.

. Save the 4th grade personal attacks.

Good advice. . .you should try it. . .calling people who have a different stance "mack-o-philes" is pretty 4th grade as well . .

One thing I liked about this site was the no-call out/no-insult policy. ..I can play either way but I'd rather talk sports than talk shit. . . .

up to you and the rest of the staff .. .

PS, you asked which side I am on? The Burnt Orange one. . ..I don't really care about the petty BS. . .bTW. . .what Mack said is EXACTLY what CS has been telling the kids.. ..it's treating them like men and not manipulating them. . . it's an example of good leadership. . . .
