Meeting with USC head coach Lane Kiffin this morning.

The kid really has a chance to play meaningful ball at the next level. This would be a great move for him and his family, and I hope he takes the jump.

Adding him to what USC already has in Matt Barkley and the rest of the weapons and USC could be the favorite to win it all this season. I just don't know how quick these PSU transfers can learn another team's playbook, etc... Feel horrible for these recruits and players at PSU...

I hear he is gone and this is a forgone conclusion. I am also hearing the PSU kicker is coming to Texas. Heard that is almost a done deal.

Yeah I hit the kicker deal on Twitter yesterday. I dont like putting two on scholarships.

While I agree you dont want too many kickers on scholarship. But we aren't a high scoring team yet. Probably won't be for a long time if ever. We need a strong kicking game. Nick Jordan will be great one day, but I don't trust a true freshmen in a less than 3 second kick to win or tie a game.

You cant trust most college kickers to do that. Like I tweeted, I have no problem with thr player, I just worry we miss a need tying up 2 scholarships on kickers.

The scholarships are an issue for sure. Remember we picked up Alex King, the Duke graduate, at punter. Had we not signed him I think this decision would be a lot easier to make. To put Flanagan's point in perspective, not sure Nick Jordan makes that kick at A&M last year,

Most kickers wouldnt have .
Man this is alot of talk over a kicker
One of the sore thumbs in the Texas team this year. After QB this is the second biggest concern as a single position.

Redd has officially packed his Happy Valley bags for Los Angeles and will play for USC. I'm telling you guys USC was already a legit national title contender with Barlkley and the offense (particularly Robert Woods who is arguably the best wideout in college football) but now that they have added Redd... Stout. The University of Spoiled Children may fight on this year.
