Second Chances - The unsung hero of Saturday night

[HornSports Staff]

After each game, Marian Hinton will tell you who the unsung hero was the night before. Who was it in the North Texas game?

Who is yours for Game # 1?

[Matt Cotcher]

Good choice, Marian. It's also one that the coaches would agree with.

Very nice. I honestly only remember seeing him on one play all night, and that was when he ran in and made a perfect hard tackle on a runningback for a one yard gain. It caught my attention because I didn't recall ever seeing him make a perfect wrap up tackle and rush up to hit someone.

A+

The "Second Chances" part of the title has John Harris' career night leaping to mind.

He was definitely the other option (along with Ridgeway), however, he has been getting a lot of attention, so the "unsung hero" portion of the title made me settle on Thompson.

Hard to call J. Harris "unsung" after that performance.
