Would be a home run hire . No seriously he's a great offensive mind. Runs a pass first spread offense. Learned from Dennis Erickspn and John L Smith. Also Urban Meyer credits his Louisville offense with opening his eyes and moving him away from the I formation.

"...a year at UNLV, two back at Idaho, five at Washington, and three at Louisville. He took his first NFL job as the offensive coordinator/ wide receivers coach with the Minnesota Vikings in 2002. After three seasons in Minneapolis, Linehan served in a similar capacity with the Miami Dolphins in 2005 under Nick Saban, then was hired as head coach by the St. Louis Rams on January 19, 2006.[15]

As a St. Louisian, I do blame him for the downfall of the Rams. That being said, he ran a prolific NFL offense so that's a good thing.
