Rudder High School wide receiver and Texas Class of 2021 football signee Keithron Lee was arrested in Bryan, Texas on Sunday as first reported by 247Sports. Lee, a 3-star prospect, signed with the Longhorns on National Signing Day in February over schools such as Baylor, TCU, Tennessee, Texas Tech and Washington.
Lee was arrested on charges of assaulting of a family member with bond set at $5,000.
Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian issued the following statement about Lee:
"We're aware of the situation with Keithron Lee. We have talked to his family and he has been suspended from all team activities at this time as we continue to monitor the legal process."
