Sark explains why we keep losing. It's him.

Arkansas exposed everything. Nothing has changed with the base offensive game plan. Sark believes he must establish the run for the Run Pass option to be effective. He is counting on his weakest position on the team, the offensive line to establish his plan, and committing Bijan between the tackles head on into the other teams strength with stacked boxes and a running back not built to move piles. Bijan has been ineffective in breaking those failed attempts outside and is getting very little lead blocking help from other backs or big bodies like used on our last touchdown. The QB is made to work out of a pocket that mostly doesn't exist, and is apparently discouraged from running even when that proves to be the most viable option. The QB has failed to check down to the safety valve, which is mostly Bijan who has been open in the flat repeatedly. Bijan, even if spied, has a much better chance of success in space.

We can use other excuses like talent, mentality, lack of execution and on and on. Until the hard headed coach works with what is our best chance for success, we will keep failing. We play right into the other teams plan. Totally predictable.

“The running game was tough. We knew that coming in,” Sarkisian said, noting Baylor’s strong defensive front. “These guys [Baylor] have a big unit up front. They’re really good at nose tackle, which we talked about, and they made that aspect of it hard."

But the run game, when that doesn’t go the way we want it to go, that shifts our style of offense that we really want to be, so we’ve got to continue to grind at that, to find. way to effectively run the football so that we can utilize the play-action pass the way we want to.”

"Time for Texas-Sized concern for Steve Sarkasian?

Sarkisian was brought in to fix the mistakes that former head coach Tom Herman couldn't. Herman, who won all four bowl games during his tenure in Austin, finished with 7-plus wins each season.

Herman also finished above .500 in conference games all four years with the Horns. Will Sark get that in Year 1 with only four games left?

Still, three straight losses in come-from-behind upsets? Sharpen your pitchforks just a tad, Texas. The angry mob is ready to break down the door.

National reaction to Longhorns’ loss to Baylor: CFB Twitter mocks Texas spending $15M on buyouts

Texas spent $15 million of the school’s money on dismissing Tom Herman and his assistant coaches. Some questioned whether that was worth it.

Texas becomes just the third team over the past five seasons to lose three straight games after entering the fourth quarter with a lead, according to ESPN. 2021 Texas 2018 Tulsa 2018 West Virginia

75-27. That’s the scoring deficit Texas has suffered through in the second half of its three losses to OU, OSU, and BU. In three one-score losses, the Longhorns have been outscored by 48 points in the second half, That’s on both Sark’s offense for failing to produce much of anything after halftime and PK’s defense for failing to stop much of anything after the break.
