SignUp Now!I real ? might be does he (SABAN) want us? I do believe there was a time fame put out to give UT an answer. Hopefully he wants us. I am with you on Go get him Mr. Patterson!!!Want to make it clear and reaffirm that he alone is the one we need! Ready for tonight's game to be over. Go get him Mr. Patterson!
I like your choices. He would be the most unifying. He is my first choice, but Harbaugh, Fisher and even Briles would dominate here.
Maybe his ship has sailed, but this is Texas damnit! We're gonna go to Toogalooga, lasso his ass and bring him back here! lol...in all seriousness I trust that what McP, SHL and Jesus over at IT are saying, and think that Saban is going to be our next coach. In my opinion the Saban ship already sailed and theirs no turning back. Everything points to him staying and no one knows what is going on in the search besides Patterson. The sheer number of different top candidates everyday leads me to that assumption but I also hope I'm wrong. Time will tell guys
Congratulations. The dumbest poster on Hornsports and it isn't even close.Saban has a very good chance of being a disaster hire for Texas. His success has come from (plug your ears) recruiting. Ie, over signing players and energetic SEC Boo$ters. While the one quality he would bring to Texas is instant recruiting credibility, he's building his own program again from scratch at 62 years old. It's not a given that he properly connects with Texas HS coaches, especially with his poor record of honoring scholarship offers. And I don't know if Texas puts up with recruiting shenanigans or not.
In other words, Texas pays him $100mil guaranteed to ride off into the sunset with mediocre results. Then Texas gets to recruit the next coach with the sales pitch of "We're the school who just had two hall of fame coaches who couldn't meet our standards".
Saban is one loss to OU away from no longer being suitable fap material for everyone. Stoops just might feel he'd like to get a head start on beating Saban tonight, and Saban may have spent too much of the last month cuddling with his new contract. So, ought to be a good game!
I agree that his (Saban) desire is/was to have no Texas talk distractions during bowl preparations as the OP suggests. So, if we are to believe the "inside" information (and I do) that a final contract and terms have been delivered and he is "on the clock" but is not interested any longer, what better way to have the atmosphere (limited distractions) to prepare for the bowl and enjoy your last game with your seniors than to decline the offer and put a stop to the chatter?Saban is a "real" coach. He is heavily involved in the preparation of Alabama for the Sugar Bowl. We are allowing him the time and space to prepare and enjoy his team and their participation in the Sugar Bowl. Think the he wants to finish the job at Alabama by helping this team to a win in his (Saban's) and this senior class' final game (A.J. McCarron and company).
I don't know what good a united fan base is. The fan base was pretty united about Muschamp about one year of sucking ago. Anyway, a united fan base is ununited again as soon as another starting QB gets a concussion. He isn't my number one based upon age only, but he is probably the only one that unites the entire fan base and immediately impacts recruiting.
Every coach is on his way to getting fired. I just hope you bookmark yourself for quick reference when Saban gets fired.Congratulations. The dumbest poster on Hornsports and it isn't even close.
Come on, no need to go to personal attack mode, this isn't the other sites.Congratulations. The dumbest poster on Hornsports and it isn't even close.
