I've never believed Saban was coming nor that he seriously even considered it. I also believe now that with Patterson running the show and in charge of the show that very few people know much if anything about what is actually taking place behind closed doors.Either there is some serious smoke from a five alarm five or Saban is out of it completely.
Can you explain??Either there is some serious smoke from a five alarm five or Saban is out of it completely.
Can you explain??
Either everything else we are hearing lately is a huge smoke screen and not true or Saban (who's name hasn't been mentioned much lately) is no longer an option.
Just pull a Ross Perot and watch it all unfold. The fascinating thing to me in all the reporting today across the board is the variety of it.
Chip Brown reported of the various names various factions have thrown out -- none of them being Nick Saban, and he, Ketch and Suchomel very much going forth with the message that Saban is not being pushed by their contacts.
El Mahico over there (and here, I think) has said he has been told Saban is a no-go.
Meanwhile, Hornsports and IT are still very much on the Saban-to-Texas bandwagon from their contacts.

I don't know what to believe, honestly.
....or the fact that we haven't heard his name means a deal is in the works. Kinda how "smoke" is supposed to work.Either everything else we are hearing lately is a huge smoke screen and not true or Saban (who's name hasn't been mentioned much lately) is no longer an option.
Not enough grocery stores in Austin...Why are we not talking Mark Mangino for cryin out loud?
Why would they leak his name now if the deal is done with potential of it falling through?Today is the first day where I felt Saban is merely a pipe dream.
No one and I mean no one has even breathed the mans name.
