RIP The Deuce Jerry McGhee

Guys, wanted to share that a friend who covered West Virginia athletics for BlueGoldSports.com passed away last night I learned. Some of you may know Jerry McGhee (he was often called by his nickname, The Deuce) - he was a solid guy that had a great sense of humor. He loved the Mountaineers and loved writing about them.

Jerry left us way too early (he was in his 30's). He was the first WVU media guy I met even before WVU formally joined the Big 12.

Condolences to his family and to the Bluegoldsports family.

Jerry (I only knew him as Deuce) was great. I loved hearing from him each year around the WVU game. A really respectful dude who always had a great sense of humor. Condolences.

Hate to hear this. He was a good visitor last year before the WV game and I looked forward for him to visit before this year's WV game. I really hate to hear he was 35. That is sad.
