Question About the Defense

Question for those that are more Football oriented than I.

What was that last night? IS it the scheme? Is it the Players? Did the defense really miss Moore and Hicks? Is this a defense that plays more prevent(bend but don't break). The players looked really lost out there and I am talking about players that have been here awhile...

Help me understand what I saw last night...

The defense missed Hicks big time - on the field and from a leadership perspective. Honestly I don't know what to say about the defensive performances this year. Looking back at last year's games the secondary was downright stout. They made plays, wrapped up tackles and threatened long passes. This year it is crazy. Ridiculous. No explanation for the dropoff and the missed tackles - which are freaking prolific.
