HS said all along their source said that Cumbie would not come to Austin. Nailed it.

SignUp Now!Can't wait to hear some quotes. I'm not worried about him as an OC (scheme or play-calling) I know Tulsa didn't do particularly well in advanced stats - I they had issues with their running game - they did show big improvement from previous season. Thanks guys, and it sucks because I personally was a huge fan of Cumbie. I'm also a huge fan of Gilbert, I'm talking to some high school coaches now about him.
I disagree OB has been good.Again, this is why HS is the only Texas affiliate site that I post on. Aaron, Matt and Mike (credit to the rest of the staff as well) have done a tremendous job of getting information but also straying away from bad information. They don't hop on a story just because it's gaining steam. They vet it and roll out what they know to be good in merit. I would rather get the right news last than to be up to my knees in hunches.
OB looks absolutely silly right now. As they tend to do. Then you have Higdon doing his usual thing. In my opinion, HS and 247 are the only two boards that came out of this with their legitimacy intact. 247 is the only other board that I'm a member of but HS will continue to be the only place that I discuss Texas athletics.
I guess we'll find out if/when Watson is on staff next season.I disagree OB has been good.
Didn't OB says days ago that Cumbie was a done deal?I disagree OB has been good.
100% FALSE. They never said that.Didn't OB says days ago that Cumbie was a done deal?
they never said that either. Good lordI guess we'll find out if/when Watson is on staff next season.
I just checked, it was a poster responding to Anwar claiming they had info and that it was done. Not Anwar. That's my mistake.100% FALSE. They never said that.
You said it, not us. 😆Safe to say we are a little better off than the last time we covered a coaching search. Thanks for your readership and feedback.
You mean sources have agendas? This cannot be true. I said the same thing here yesterday and the resident insider here blasted me for it.I think all the sites have had their moments through this thing. Coaching searches are tough because there's so much information coming from different places and sources are pushing their own agendas as well. Getting to know these guys from working in the same circle I can say they are all pretty good people. EJ Holland has become a really good friend of mine to the point where he and I discussed road tripping together to see a game a few weeks ago. I have tremendous respect for the work Justin Wells and Jason Suchomel do. Dustin McComas and Alex Dunlap are two of the most underrated guys in the environment. Will Wilkerson has a great ability to relate to people and he works his ass off. At the same time, I feel like we are putting together a really good team here at HS, and we are glad you guys enjoy the product we put forward because there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes to bring this to you. We are constantly communicating in order to improve the site. Safe to say we are a little better off than the last time we covered a coaching search. Thanks for your readership and feedback.
They absolutely do. Everyone is looking out for their interests. We're all human. You mean sources have agendas? This cannot be true. I said the same thing here yesterday and the resident insider here blasted me for it.
