Possible Recruits to Flip?

Can anyone provide some intelligent insight as to which recruits we have any chance of flipping with the hire of Charlie Strong?

(I do not want a wish list, I was hoping for constructive conversation on players we have a decent chance at flipping)

Also, are there any current commits that you could see us losing because of the hire?

Splash hire might have done it, but I don't think 2014 is salvageable, with all due respect to Strong.

I think possibly Daniel Gresham because he's a UL commit right now and was an original UT commit

Nick Harvey. A&M DB. Taylor Hamm is officially concerned.
please I really hope this could happen, would love to get a big recruit away from aggy

Just guessing here but if we are able to flip recruits the odds are they would be on the defensive side. Also, depending on what assistant coaches are hired and what ties they have to texas hs 2014 recruits. We we land a stud recruiter or 2 like Brewster or Ed O i think we can flip 2-3 at least.

Players I would try to go after are guys who have shown some interest in Texas. Also, going after a stud or 2 who was committed to a school who just lost their HC or position coach.

My top guys form instate that I would pursue had are:

Nick Harvey - aggie

Solomon Thomas -Stanford or tOsu

Jamal Adams - Lsu

Tony Brown & Zach Whitney- Bama

Miles Garrett & Josa Scott - Aggies, dont think either would come but send in Ed O and see what happens.

Aaron Springs - Oregon

Nick Watkins - ND

Edwin Freeman would kill in the 3-3-5 D as a rover/hybrid.

Marvin Saunders - TE FSU - especially if we get Brewster

If any show even a bit of interest, send the position coach followed by a visit from Coach Strong himself.

I feel, if we get the right staff, we can definitely flip a couple of guys, especially on D.

I know its late in the game but if Miami loses Golden to PSU, we have the coaches that can recruit south Florida like Mack recruited Dallas. Especially on the D side, we can pull someone.

Some Miami commits that are ranked high(I havent watched any film so i cant comment as to how good they are).

Chard Thomas - DE, McDermott - OT, Moten - DT, Yearby - RB

Personally, I think Mack did his typical thing of singing a few guys who probably wont play much at Texas but i wont name them. Hopefully they realize that we get can open up a couple of ships.

I just figured he could because he is committed to UL and former UT commit
I'm sure it could happen, and likely very easily, but his recruitment was just a fiasco that I'd rather him not come here. If he does then whatever but I think we could use the spot in a better way.

I bet he flips at least 1, maybe 2 of:

Tony Brown

Jamal Adams

Nick Harvey

Arrion Springs

Zach Whitley

Deshawn Washington

Solomon Thomas (uncommitted)

If he wants him, I would think Edwin Freeman is a lock, and a good fit for his scheme as well.

I said in another thread, he may take some good recruits from other states as well.

Doubt we take Gresham; he's not really wanted. Also poaching is kind of poor form and that is not Strong's MO.

Maybe - hopefully? - some unknowns.

Harvey and Thomas are your best bets. I'm told no way on Adams, Brown or Whitley. I don't know the status of Freeman.

Freeman and Solomon are uncommitted and we need to be on them everyday from day 1. From the others i agree, we can get 1-2 depending on the assistant coaches.

another guy is Poona Ford a DT from South Carolina that is committed to Louisville - i could see CS not going after any of the UL kids.

Im with some of you, I prefer not to go after Grishm.

Daniel Gresham seems to have made a big mistake by decommitting. However, I bet Strong would bring him to Texas if Gresham wanted back in.

D'onta is not a lot better. Have you seen either in person and up close? Nobody will know which one is better until they are in college.

Foreman played tougher competition, but Gresham is bigger. I've seen all the highlights of both and there's no way you can make a judgement on which is better from those grainy films.

Time will tell who was the better prospect, but I am no taking the word of some internet guy that has seen neither.

Lighten up Francis.

I think we lose 2 players but gain 5. I also think we keep a couple of players thinking about going pro. This is base on a WAG,
