Yes, the NFL sucks and mock drafts are in fact mental masturbation. . .doesn't change the fact they are fun.

The Wire has Poona taken by Da Boys with one of their three 4th round picks.

Think he would be a great value there if he didn't move himself into the 3rd round with his Senior Bowl performance.

I remain convinced that the #1 need in Dallas is a run stuff 1 tech who can help collapse the pocket. That would make the DE's LBs and DBs instantly better.

Other needs:

WR
S
TE
OL

In no real order

I think LB is a huge need. Lee can’t stay healthy and every time he’s out our defense collapsed. No real depth there either. I’ll take Poona though and Earl for the safety

Here's another write up on Poona from Pro Football Focus.    They also highlight players Da Boys might be interested in from the Senior Bowl.    I was like . . . .One of each please.

Defensive tackle

The Cowboys have been hesitant to spend a lot of draft capital on the DT position, but with the changes to the coaching staff, that may also be up for revision. There were also two names that consistently showed up in PFF’s grades. Virginia’s Andrew Brown and Texas’ Poona Ford were their best performers. Given the focus on pass rush in Mobile, both may draw some consideration from Dallas (especially since draft crush Vita Vae is widely expected to be long gone before their first pick).

I will do a hand stand (and probably break something, most likely my neck) if Dallas is able to draft Poona in the the 4th round.

I agree with WR and OL as needs. Dez needs to go, he has not produced to the level of his contract.

The cowboys always seem cash strapped by the salary cap when it comes to free agency so I think Thomas is out of the question. Hopefully some of the young DB talent they drafted last year can transition to safety.

As far as TE goes it will take Dallas a long time to find a decent replacement for Witten. I just don't see them spending a high pick on a TE.
