Hearing from a source that Jordan Hicks will most likely not play in the Okie State game this weekend. Hip flexor is still really sore even though he was in practice today. Bergeron is probably going to play as the shoulder is feeling better. Anthony Fera is still only at around 80%. No word if he will punt or kick this weekend but it is possible we might see him. Hicks and Fera are projected to be ready by the WVU game.

Hicks is listed as a starter on the depth chart for the OSU game. Sounds positive to me.
Yeah, I know he is listed on the depth chart as starting but didn't participate in drills yesterday. While it is slightly possible he will play Saturday it is very doubtful. The injury seems to be significant enough to where the coaches do not want to risk him playing at less than full-speed, which he might not even be at for the West Virginia game next weekend. I would expect Kendall Thompson to be thrown in the mix.

Let's just hope he is ready to go against West Virginia. Would be nice to get him and Fera back at 100% for the Mountaineers.

At this point, I doubt Fera's existence lol
Not very Cartesian of you Flanny.... lol. Hicks, Fera and Brandon Moore were absent from the Stillwater trip. Brandon Moore not making the trip is bizzare.... Hopefully all these guys get back for the Texas vs. Mountaineers game next weekend.

Brandon Moore has a virus= No Excuses!!!
I am not that worried about the injuries. Sure it will affect some things but I think the players and coaches prepared like they wouldn't be there and injuries are part of the game. This will help create depth in the long run

Yeah it sucks but at least we aren't playing OU or WVU..... Ok State will still give us a run tomorrow.... Talented group....

Word arounf the hill has it that Hicks ain't coming back for the West Virginia game. Will be OU or later before he makes his return.

UPDATE: 10/01/2012

According to Mack Brown, Anthony Fera kicked yesterday. Yes, he kicked, not just punted.

And it doesn't look good for Hicks coming back for the West Virginia. Hearing it could be the Oklahoma game before he suits back up. Malcolm Brown is bursing a hobbled ankle but could go on Saturday if need be.

My guess is Fera kicks on Saturday to get some in-game practice.

We need Hicks for the Oklahoma game. WVU is important, but I want to shut up the Sooners and we can do it this year

I'll give you an Amen to that. We could definitely use him against the Eers this weekend but if I had to pick a game, I want his ass to punish Jones.

With Malcolm Brown now OUT for the WVU game, what can we expect from the Longhorn's offense? I think Gray, Bergeron, Monroe, Hills, and Johnson can handle the load just fine. Not saying Brown isn't important but the depth at that position is great.

The only thing that scares me is an injury to Bergeron that knock him out of the game - and we aren't effective or experienced. I wanna see the jet sweeps in full effect for some long yardage! I am excited about Gray getting serious time though.
