Lineup card from McComas

Wind blowing out to CF at ~20 MPH right now.

Madden on the bump.

Let's do this!  ???⚾

T1

Madden & the Horns work a 1-2-3 frame on 10 pitches and 1 K

Scoreless headed B1

B1

Horns go in order with 2 Ks and a humpback liner to 2B

Scoreless thru 1 complete

T2

Madden gets 2 Ks to start the frame, a slow roller to Faltine whose throw was high is charged with an E6, but an F9 ends it

Scoreless headed B2

B2

Bednar Ks the side

Scoreless thru 2 complete

T3

Madden gets 2 KS, gives up a 2-out single

F7 ends it

Scoreless headed B3

I know it’s early but Horns have strike out issues again.
High heat is hard to catch up with.  1st time through the lineup though.  He'll probably mix it up more 2nd/3rd time through.  Hopefully, we'll chase him by then.

B3

Horns get a 2-out baserunner as Kennedy is HBP, but Antico KS ends it

Scoreless thru 3 complete

Need to at least start putting the ball in play! Putting a lot of pressure on Madden.

Hitting and base running were the big issues for me coming into Omaha.  I'm totally stoked that Texas is here, but I thought all year they left too many risp.  That will not cut it here.  They got away with it in the regionals and supers because of not so stellar pitching on the other side. Have to capitalize or they will be down early against really good pitching.  I'd feel a lot better if the the Clemens boys were here.
