Joey, is ULL (I refuse to call them Louisiana) supposed to good again this year? I remember their team that hosted a regional a few years back but thought they weren’t as good last year?

They were ranked in the top 40 in a few preseason polls.  Robicheaux will have his team prepared to play ball.  They won the Sun Belt Conference last season.

Horns get a leadoff single by Ellis, then get robbed on a horrible call at 1B on Kennedy.  Ellis is stranded at 2B to end the frame.

Headed B1, scoreless.

Horns get out of the 1st as Cajuns leave 1 LOB after a HBP was stranded.

Scoreless after 1 complete

DJ reaches in the leadoff spot on an E6

He's doubled up on the first pitch to Hibbeler

Reynolds gets a dying quail 2-out single

McCann F3 ends the frame

Scoreless headed B2

Horns D allows a single which should've been scored an E6.  Elder works his way out of it with KL, CS & 4-3

Scoreless thru 2

Horns get doubled up off a line drive to 2B to end the 3rd frame

Still scoreless

B3, Cajuns get a roped 1 out single, but on the next at bat, slow chopper to SS, 6-4 gets the lead runner, and the runner is then called for interference.  Frame ends

Scoreless thru 3

Elder Ks the side, now has 5 Ks on the night

Still scoreless headed to the 5th

Horns go in order in T5

Still scoreless in Lafayette

Still scoreless as we head to B6.  Todd gets on in T6, but is CS with 2 down.

New P for Cajuns in T6; Elder still on the bump for Texas.

Elder is rolling.  He has looked very good tonight.

1-2-3 B6, and we're still knotted at 0
