[SIZE=12pt]AUSTIN – Over his past three games, Texas quarterback Sam Ehlinger has thrown for 771 yards with nine touchdowns and a pair of interceptions. He has completed passes to 12 different players, including some unfamiliar names: freshmen Marcus Washington and Kennedy Lewis; redshirt sophomore Jordan Pouncey; even seldom-used senior John Burt.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]One name not among the dozen: senior wideout Collin Johnson. The 6-foot-6 future NFL draft pick was sidelined by a hamstring injury for each game. He was available for “emergency only” last week against West Virginia but was not used during the 42-31 win.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=12pt]Even so, the Longhorns haven’t felt many adverse effects from Johnson’s absence. In fact, it’s allowed Ehlinger to grow his rapport with the rest of the wideouts.[/SIZE]
