I'm thinking the new AD has to be announced before Thanksgiving and Mack announces right before the Baylor game (the last game and the bowl game will be the big send-off and "thanks for the memories" tour). There has to be a certain time between the new AD being named and the new HC being named or it starts looking unseemly. If a new AD is named but isn't actually on the payroll when the new HC is named, then it looks bad on the program, because either the new AD wasn't involved in the decision or the new AD was working on the UT coaching situation while still being paid by his previous employer. The new HC has to be named no later than the week of the MNC game so he has enough time to start recruiting. The new AD pretty much needs to be on the payroll by early Dec. The sooner the AD is named and on the payroll, the better it is for UT.
