They've sucked so much in recent years, traded off all their talent and are on the verge of losing 100 plus games for the first time in franchise history. Does anyone care?

The real whacked out part of that is that Bud Selig in not so many words made it sound like the final sale to Jim Crane would be contingent on him agreeing to move the team to the AL. I am a Texas Rangers fan so I am used to having a DH but I would like to see the 'Stros remain in the NL. I like watching pitchers hit homers.

It would be a simple move..The Rangers are in the only division with 4 teams..All the others in the American League are 5 division teams..

The Astros are currently in the only 6 team division..With this one move all divisions in baseball would be 5 team divisions..

It's not realignment, which I prefer, but it gives the team more games against a same time zone opponent..

I wouldn't mind the Rangers playing the Astros more that's for sure. How about that tv deal the Rangers signed with Fox Sports Southwest for 1.6 BILLION dollars (insert Dr. Evile pinky finger to lip here)? Makes the LHN sound like chump change!

Huge contract and your comment reminded me of some of the digging I have been doing. The LHN $$$ is deceiving..Sure they get $15 mil a year but $3mil is going to IMG, the guys who brokered the deal. I wonder if UT still thinks it was worth it for a lousy $12 million a year..They will lose that much or more if they go Indy or try and stay in the Big Whatever conference..IMHO

Safe to say that nobody will gripe about the network too mucxh until the KU game gets close. I think ND gets around 11 or 12 mil a year for their NBC 6 game deal. Not bad change.

I am just so proud of them as they try to reach 100. Losses that is. Hopefully the new owner can finally get the STROS back in order.

What new owner? Crane has to get by the Dr. Bud Sevil and his evil army of owners. As Bud Selig would say " I will sell the team for 1 million dollars! Whoohaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!"
