So via a newspaper ad in the UGA student newspaper, Mizzou sent UGA a "thank you" for their SEC game.

Mizzou sends a “thank you” to Georgia in the UGA Newspaper | Saturday Down South

Like Mizzou, I also read that the Aggies had given their thanks to the Gators, mainly those in the core to other Gator fans. But regardless what are your thoughts on these new SEC teams giving thanks to their opponents who beat them? Is it classy, sucking up, too much? Personally, I see that it is somewhat of a classy move but I think doing it in public may give them the image as if they are sucking up to the SEC a bit too much.

What are your thoughts?

I think it is stupid as hell. It shows inferiority, not class.

There's just too much weird crap going on with TAMU and MIZZOU in their respective transitions to the SEC. Newly claimed conference and national championships, billboards popping up everywhere, thank you for kicking our ass print articles and maroon helicopters????? Almost too much to stomach.

The fanbases from Mizzou & aggie seem to be more concerned with the game-day experience of their SEC visitors than whether or not their teams won the game.

This.

For someone at my Alma Mater to do this is ridiculous. I mean I wanted to know if this was before the game purchased the ad. I get the excitement for the new conference but seriously WTF?

Missouri is completely ridiculous.

Apparently Gary Pinkel was on some radio show today (Brando?) talking about how getting the national 2:30 CBS slot is a "new level" for Mizzou football. Idiots, like you've never had the national 7pm ABC prime time slot before?

As annoying as A&M has been through this process, Mizzou is really the worst. They started all this nonsense by sending public love letters to the Big 10, got rejected, and then destablilized the entire conference leading to Nebraska and Colorado's departure. Then they left the next year, blaming Texas for allegedly seeking greener pastures.

It's a patehtic athletic department in the most boring college town ever that has a ridiculously inflated view of its place in the college sports universe.

Any head coach that wears a visor on the sideline other than darth visor himself must have his manhood questioned.

Between Pinkel flying in his mizzou helicopter to court DGB and Sumlin hovering in to Sealy to in the maroon copter to woo RSJ.........

Small wee wee syndrome is becoming an epidemic.
