Michigan dumped Al Borges today and hired Doug Nussmeier from Alabama. This is how you leverage your resources, history and ambition to make a great hire for an assistant. This is what happens when you opt for a comfort hire instead of doing it right the first time after three years.

Saban wanted to get rid of Nuss. Just saying, not the same situation at all.

Texas has not announced their hire so might want to tap the breaks a bit. Watson is no lock, and funny enough when the thought of Saban coming to UT was heavily in discussion many people didnt want Saban's offense and hoped he would change to something else.

Just stirring the pot kids. The other interesting aspect is that a certain former USC head coach spent a week with Bama for a week of bowl preps.

And Texas folks didn't want Saban's offense because it doesn't make use of the abundance of spread offense talent that this state generates. Just throwing that out there.

Since we haven't hired an OC, I assume your not referring to Texas.

agreed but he seems to be a top 3-4 candidate which he should not be. Michigan upgraded and im sure Bama will. Will Texas?

Alabama will hire Lane Kiffin. That is not an upgrade.

Nussmeier was forced out and had to find a job, which he did. It'll be a one year deal, and Hoke will be fired after they suck again next year.

I think Kiffin will be ok. He and Saban are friends, but doesnt seem like a great move though. Nussmeier is nothing special
